About the Role

Calling all togs.

Covering fashion/editorial, events, documentary and more, VAGUE's Visuals team offers production services to a diverse portfolio of clients, responding to briefs right here on the VAGUE Portal from the likes of the Royal Exchange Theatre, local musicians, as well as in-house commissions for our media platform TOMES and our art exhibition series in partnership with galleries such as the Whitworth.

We are now seeking more talented freelance photographers to join our content creator roster. Location doesn't matter; just a solid work ethic, professionalism and an eye for storytelling.

We especially encourage applications from writers from minority ethnic backgrounds and the LGBT+ community, as well as those based outside London, to reflect the diversity of our global community.

Your Responsibilities

  • Respond to relevant Allies' (aka clients) project briefs advertised on the VAGUE Portal

  • Follow project briefs and work within timescales to produce deliverables

  • Support the editorial team with ad-hoc content commissions for VAGUE TOMES

  • Support the marketing team with ad-hoc content commissions for our social media

Things to Note

Our production team is also encouraged to submit concepts for the VAGUE TOMES magazine. These must be original ideas pitched pre-production and developed in collaboration with VAGUE's Art Director, Karina So and marketing team. Photography pitches are especially encouraged from fashion and street / documentary.

Who We are

Run by a remote network of writers, stylists, photographers, designers, and developers from Manchester, London & across four continents, our mission at VAGUE is to serve as a slow but considered editorial publisher with its finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist, and a dynamic resource for creatives and discerning audiences at the intersection of creativity, commerce, and culture.
