The VAGUE RESIDENCY
The VAGUE Residency Programme is an immersive creative training experience designed to bridge the gap between raw potential and professional-grade talent. Curated by the CREW, this 6- or 12-month programme is aimed at equipping emerging creatives in the VAGUE community with the strategic, creative and operational skills to thrive in the cut-throat commercial world as one of our represented community members.

Wtf is the Residency?
How does it work?
The VAGUE Residents, they come in waves. Twice a year, we'll put a callout to our community members for a new Wave of up to 20 residents.

The programme starts with 10 weeks of focused training covering a core creative or operational skill area each week to optimize your commercial viability and strategic prowess as a future member of the VAGUE STUDIO, delivered through:

After graduation, it's time to get to work. You'll sign on to be represented by VAGUE, either exclusively or non-exclusively as you prefer, and work with your CREW lead to create a bespoke Talent Development Plan with monthly objectives, deliverables and targets that suit your lifestyle and existing commitments with the aim of supporting each Wave's Residency Pledge.
​What's the Pledge?
Each Wave will be assigned a Residency Pledge i.e. a gross revenue target to hit based exclusively on Resident-led projects at the end of their residency.

For the 2025 cohort whose Residency coincides with the relaunch of the agency, the Pledge is £100,000.
​
Their reward? £10,000 each for services rendered, paid in dividends each year based on our annual gross revenue - on top of any income they earn working with our clients.
​
While future Pledges could swing up or down based on financial projections and Resident commitments will be adjusted accordingly, the reward moving forward will be a more modest percentage of the net income of Resident-led projects instead.
​
TLDR; the Residents helping us through our first year will get paid a fixed amount of £10,000 for their support in dividends, even if we don't meet our Pledge. All future Resident rewards will be a percentage of the net income raised directly from their Residency projects paid out as a flat fee at the end of their Residency, not as dividends.
So basically, the harder you all work, the more you all earn.
