About the Role
VAGUE is a creative agency and cultural magazine building the next generation of community-powered cultural infrastructure. We work across fashion, music, art and youth culture — creating editorial, visual, experiential, and strategic work with independent talent and global brands alike.
We’re looking for a Graphic & Motion Designer to support our lean team with the development of visual marketing assets, brand campaigns, social content and lightweight video edits. If you’re a designer with strong visual instincts, a feel for culture, and an ability to translate ideas into crisp, contemporary visuals, we want to hear from you.
📑 Requirements
A strong visual thinker fluent in digital-native design for social & editorial contexts and proficient in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent tools with a portfolio that blends graphic design, motion, and cultural sensitivity.
👥 Responsibilities
Develop branded static and motion assets for VAGUE's websites and social channels (primarily IG and TikTok)
Design marketing materials including campaign graphics, trailers, teasers, and visual identities for content roll-outs
Edit short-form video content: reels, TikTok cuts, rapid sizzles, motion-first storytelling
Maintain and evolve VAGUE’s visual language across all touch points
Support occasional art direction for community activations and editorial outputs
Collaborate with editorial, strategy and production teams as needed
Provide availability on a case-by-case basis for client commissions

ℹ️ Key Information
You will need to be a registered member of the VAGUE community to be able to complete your application. This will allow you to join our Discord server and collaborate with our global team and submit stories.
💰 Payment & Rates
We are a small community-led organization so unfortunately we aren't able to offer competitive rates but want to ensure you are at least somewhat compensated within our means. As such, we are offering a base pay of £150 per month for a fixed set of in-house design deliverables. This does not include additional income from client commissions in the VAGUE STUDIO on a case by case basis.
